Beautiful Dreamer

We've been listening to E.B. White's Trumpet of the Swan. I think knitting Cat Bordhi's Moebius Swan tea cozy for Valentine's is a very romantic idea - as is arranging to have a swan play Beautiful Dreamer on the trumpet (or downloading The Chestnut Brass Company's version from iTunes).

That book is one of my all-time favorites.

Joseph's favorite rererereread of all time.

Wonderful idea to download the music!

Thank you so much for introducing me to the Chestnut Brass Company. Went out and listened - downloaded 40 tracks to a play list for this weekend's driving. DH and I both love this ensemble!

I have one of those cozies! Ours does double duty as a unicorn hat for pretend play.

My "baby", now 22, and I loved that book more than just about anything!

Even today we have a little funny voice that says "Sam {click, click} Beaverrrrrrrrrrrrr".

A lovely memory!

Before a family trip to Scotland, I adapted the swan tea cozy and made it with a swampy-green bottom and black "neck"---a Loch Ness monster tea cozy! My mother loves it.
