I have been through all my patterns searching for a deeply poetic and true cabled sweater. Next, I paged through all my stitch pattern books with a fist full of bookmarks. Now I am swatching patterns in everything blue. At night I dump them all in the runcible bin with a story about a river that freezes over at Christmas.

I suppose it has to be wool? Because Patagonia knits up into almost exactly that sort of image -

The pond near the park we like best is frozen over. We flew a kite (red) in the field nearby and watched about 200 geese leave the pond surface in groups of about 20 each over the course of an hour and a half. The sky was blue and so was Bruno's hat.
I can't wait to see what you come up with here. I just gave you a "You Made My Day" award on my blog, because you do so often!
Was that a Joni reference? Blue is my favorite album!
