Blue socks

These are the blue-ish/green Panda wool socks in the Rushing Rivulet pattern from New Pathways. I love this pattern and this yarn. There are some projects in the runcible armoire that need to be frogged or given away. I no longer want to have a stash.

I am curious about your statement "I no longer want to have a stash." I hope you will explain why. Simplifying? Creating a vacuum? Changing direction?

I love the socks. I like too the parallels with the sock pic & the picture of the of the guiness cake, however unintended.

Are ya DYING? No, I totally understand the urge to clear out the stash and be free to start projects with a clean slate. But that doesn't seem like a runcible way to proceed.

Sometimes my stash feels oppressive, but mostly the pure potential there is inspirational. The thing to do, I think, is to stop getting more yarn, new books and magazines and get in touch with all the things you thought you wanted to do with the yarn you already have. A fast. The yen for some will have totally passed. A few you'll get down to work on and the rest of the yarn is ready for reinterpretation--at which you shine brilliantly.

But, hey, if you're about to turn this into a pottery blog, I'm very excited.

And does this mean I shouldn't send you the William Morris fabric?

Ditto Karen - I feel that way at times (especially after having just cleaned out a closet and found a bit more) but I haven't done anything about it really. I look forward to your updates.

I'm with Karen: "I no longer want to have a stash." Sounds most amazing to me ... but then, I love your pottery so much, you won't lose me as a reader even if you do amble over into those fields....(bowls - LOVE bowls!)

I take it these socks are not in the "to be frogged or given away" pile?

They look beautifully soft and comfortable.
