Ginger syrup

I love this idea of making ginger syrup from the current Country Home. This would be wonderful in ice tea! I have to get a grease pencil so I can label all my jars easily.

So, to label your jars, use a "magic marker", as we said in the 60's. You can get them off glass with nail polish remover. Do a "swatch" to satisfy yourself that this is still true. Then you have an attractive label, color of your choice.

(Someone wrote all over my locker in high school, and the principal made ME clean it up -- that's how I know about acetone as the solvent.)

I think I'm going to have to make a stop in the magazine aisle when when I go to the store tonight. :)

Or you can use twine and brown luggage labels tied round their necks. Failing that good old sharpies always do the trik!
