The young Miss Lear has been making crochet accessories for Barbie because she does not have the patients to make hats and scarves for herself. Making doll clothes can be so rewarding, so much quicker than baby things, and Barbie never grows out of them!

40+ years on my mother still has the clothes she sewed for her doll as a child - I played with them when I was growing up, too. Barbie's clothes may turn out to be heirlooms, too.
