Crochet purse

I've started setting aside granny squares out of leftover linen for this one. Mr. Lear picked this book up in Singapore for me a while ago. Although it's called Knit Work, it's all crochet.

I like that so much! I actually gasped at it's delightfulness (and it's handle possibilities)!

I keep having to come back and take a look at this. It's going to be gorgeous. It would be worthwhile getting some Rit in grey and dip dyeing some of the linen to get the variegated effect shown in the picture. Do you dig deep into the square when joining to get that raised seam look? I was thinking of the tassel technique in Last Min Knit Gifts for making the handle like I wrapped the handle of my octagon bag (visual aid) if you're making your own handle. I kept adjusting the wraps to make it go straight, but letting the wraps spiral like in the tassel directions would look even finer on this. Can't wait to see the FO.
