We have been watching All Creatures Great and Small in the evenings while I make my way through Stormsvale's collar band. I can imagine dozens of Stormsvales inspired by all of Tristan's Fair Isle sweaters. James's aqua pullover in that cobblestone pattern is so beautiful under a brown jacket! In one scene Tristan stood next to him in his green zip-up tweed and they looked like a page from a knitting book for men who take their sweaters to work.

I actually lost track of the conversation in one scene because I was so fixated on the sweaters!
When I was a little girl, All Creatures Great and Small was called Dum Dum Dum Dum by my parents. (because of the theme, dum dum dum dum dum dum dum...) I was always confused when people told me no such show existed, when I had CLEARLY watched it the night before with my parents. Now i love it for the woolens too. So many happy memories.
I wasn't in to sweaters when I watched this series. I loved the series, just wasn't paying attention to knitwear.
Must start over and see the whole series again! Fortunately, I believe our public library has it.
I just saw that at the library last night and was wondering if my daughter would like it. I was enthralled with the books when I was a kid!
