I'm not finished with the holiday cookie binge. See how pretty these are? They tasted like spicey cardboard. I have that Martha cookie magazine from a few years ago - the one with the picture index organized by texture. I'm going to make cookies this year.

Ooh. These are quite pretty. I'm trying to gear up for some post-Christmas baking, too. There never seems to be time before.
Is spicy cardboard a good thing?
I have that Martha too and I've always wanted to try baking tons of them. I think my sister actually has. She's a big cookie baker. This is one of the recipes from in there? I decorated sugar cookies this year, but my sister had baked them. As soon as I am able to move (hurt back falling down stairs) I really want to make gingerbread men. It's my favorite cookie of winter and I didn't get any this year.
