Vanessa Bell's "Interior with Housemaid" painted in 1939 inspires me to push all the tables and desks to the windows - and where there's no sense of privacy, place large painted screens.

I recently saw a great exhibit on Vanessa Bell and her colleagues - beautiful pottery, wall paintings, everything in sight ornamented...so I'm glad to see this picture.
My desk looks very similar. I've been thinking of taking my desk up to my bedroom to put it next to the 8' slider. Now I'm resolved.
