1919 Kimono Waist

I've been practicing this pattern from Decades of Style. They have the most wonderful patterns from the 1920s-1950s. I am beginning a series of kimono waists in shirting fabrics and hopefully flea market remnants - wouldn't a Vera Neumann scarf be great as the front piece, or one of those huge mod ones as the shoulder/back piece? Next up is kitchenette pajamas.

I've had a jolly good time looking at these patterns. As a child of the 1940's, they "take me back".

I remember having Vera scarves. In fact, I have a draw full of a scarf wardrobe I inherited from Mum. I was SHOCKED when I clicked on her link and found out how expensive they are now. I guess I really should do something with the scarves.

I have a vintage kimono pattern that I would really love to make, the problem is FABRIC CHOICE. I've been noodling this for years.
