I've knitted another Audrey cardigan and I'm planning another. I'd like to use two strands of Haiku or Kidsilk Haze next time. I think I will keep knitting this pattern over and over. Wouldn't it be nice as a sleeveless pullover in something silky with cotton?
Mrs Lear, I love your Audreys. I also love the theme and variations approach to knitting, but knit too slowly to indulge this love myself.
ReplyDeleteThe color and the texture of your sweater are very nice indeed. Your idea to use 2 strands together is very interesting. This may be a good use for some glitzy 'why did I buy that' weaving threads.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Lear,
ReplyDeleteLove the color of the sweater. Did you see the knitting Daily post that had you cut up strips of fabric and knit with them? I think if you had extra fabric from your chaire you could knit a chair seat. It was on their website this week. Look for it.
have a wonderful day,
Meredith
There is something about a sweater named "AUDREY", don't you think? So sweetly evocative, so rich in promise. Practically guaranteed to make one instantly chic and noble. Knit on sister, knit ON!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love the colours - are there two strands together. They always say if you find a piece of clothing you love you should buy it in several colours - I'm sure that goes for knitting too!
