Short order naan

I'm back on the 5 minute bread bandwagon with a tupperware of light whole wheat dough in the fridge. I followed the directions in Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day for making naan to go with my chicken curry. I poured a little vegetable oil in a cast iron frying pan, tossed in a flattened disc of dough and covered it with a cookie sheet. It took 7-8 minutes. I should look up pita bread next.

  2. I adore that book but I haven't been baking lately. I should start again. Problem is, when I bake it, I eat it ALL.

  3. Your naan looks incredible, picture perfect. I have a big bucket of dough and am making some naan tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for the book! Zoë François

  5. Just added this book to my Amazon cart. I buy frozen paratha from the Indian shops in Murray Hill and just bake it on a skillet to toast and fluff it. Seems too complicated to make at home. But naan, I can do. Especially in five minutes! Thanks!
