I'm back on the
5 minute bread bandwagon with a tupperware of light whole wheat dough in the fridge. I followed the directions in
Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day for making naan to go with my chicken curry. I poured a little vegetable oil in a cast iron frying pan, tossed in a flattened disc of dough and covered it with a cookie sheet. It took 7-8 minutes. I should look up pita bread next.
Oh man. I love naan. That sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteI adore that book but I haven't been baking lately. I should start again. Problem is, when I bake it, I eat it ALL.
ReplyDeleteYour naan looks incredible, picture perfect. I have a big bucket of dough and am making some naan tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your enthusiasm for the book! Zoë François
It was so yum.
ReplyDeleteoh yum! I just got Healthy Bread in 5 Min a Day. I don't think there's a nan recipe though... humph. Must figure out how to adapt it...
ReplyDeleteJust added this book to my Amazon cart. I buy frozen paratha from the Indian shops in Murray Hill and just bake it on a skillet to toast and fluff it. Seems too complicated to make at home. But naan, I can do. Especially in five minutes! Thanks!
