The cat's paw shrug continues as I sit with the Thursday readers - and
Edmund continues to betray Lucy.
Look Kay and Cristina! I tripped over the kitchen toweling at the fabric store today. I also found some iron-on sheets - I'm going to give this custom iron-on recipe tea towel thing a try. I've been sketching out recipes like
Richard Scarry illustrations.
Yay for toweling! I can't wait to see how you do it. I can't find fabric ink stamp pads anywhere, but I suppose you could just roll the fabric paint out and stamp away. I have to do this for the boys' advent calendar--do you think it's totally unorthodox to have the calendar be numberless. Will I be excommunicated? I found great little Japanese candy treats to put in the pockets--a little box of cookie sticks with inspirational messages in English like, "Go have fun!" and "Don't be timid!"
ReplyDeleteTell me more about the David Lance Goines card!
ReplyDeleteLynn - a few weekends ago there was a David Lance Goines show and poster sale in Berkeley. That small postcard was to remind me; I missed it! However, I am so excited because this Friday my son's preschool is going on a field trip to DLG's studio! I adore his posters. When I lived in DC my art teacher showed us a bunch of his work. Years later we moved to Berkeley and now we get to see his work all the time!
