Anne Morrow Lindbergh's Mittens



I can't tell you how gratifying it is to see these mittens in the midst of all the steel and fiberglass in the Air and Space Museum Annex.

    Years ago I knit a cashmere Yankee Knitter Design cable vest for my husband while he flew us in a Cessna 172. He still wears that vest but sometimes he wears it inside out!!!!

    I think remembering an adventure or a journey through a piece of knitting is more enduring than words or photographs!
